Ze: marsh.

Location

On the transverse cubital crease, at the ulnar side of the tendon of m.biceps branchii.

PC 3 (Quze) for acute gastroenteritis (blood-letting therapy)

The main symptoms of the patient were nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Appendicitis and bacillary dysentery and other kinds of diseases were excluded. The diagnosis was acute gastroenteritis, and the disease duration was a few hours.

We pushed and pressed on PC 3 (Quze) to gather the static blood. After disinfection, we quickly pricked minor vein around PC 3 (Quze) with a three-edged needle, squeezed the inserted gently, and let dozens of drops of blood, and pressed the inserted point in the end.

Theoretical Analyses

Acute gastroenteritis, classified into “epigastric pain” in Chinese medicine, is related to cold, dampness, food or heat accumulation in the middle energizer. Bleeding PC 3 (Quze) promotes blood flow, unblocks meridians, purges heat and removes blood stasis, relieves spasm and pain, regulates qi movement, which are effective for severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and even diarrhea cause by acute gastroenteritis.
